After school today, Cassidy changed her clothes all by herself. She came down wearing this fairy dress. This fairy dress hit her about butt-level and is totally inappropriately short for any public viewing! But she loves it and had to put on a play with it on. This is the final scene of the play...and the final scene for the fairy dress!

Cassidy loves her some Kimo! He's such a sweet boy. On our first night in the new house, he slept right by the front door, like he was going to protect us from some unwieldy intruder. On the second night, I guess he felt a little more comfortable in the new digs because he slept right at the top of the stairs. I feel safe with my Kimo!!

Thank you for all the support and encouraging words as we're moving and settling in! They mean so much to me!! Sorry I haven't kept up as much with everyone's 365s...i'll try to do better, promise!

day 109/365 playroom

The playroom room is a livable space!!!! Thanks to my SIL and MIL...they came over yesterday and today and fixed it up! I wonder how long it will stay organized? I give it a day.

day 108/365 the doggie door

This is the make shift doggie door...not ideal. Not loving leaving our door open to the back yard. But love that more than having the dogs use our house for a bathroom! Maybe this weekend we can make a real doggie door.

day 107/365 miss my Mac

I still haven't set up my computer. (I'm posting via my iPad). So here's a picture of Mac...looking sad, sitting on the floor. I need to figure out my office configuration (and actually get something that Mac can sit on) first. Hopefully this weekend.

I miss my 365!

Since closing escrow on Friday, it's been a non-stop whirlwind of packing, moving, and unpacking. Who knew we had S.O. M.U.C.H. S.T.U.F.F.!!!! And it's amazing that I fit so much in my closet at the old house!! Moving was like going shopping! I found so many lost things. Just like Tink!

Needless to say, my computer is sitting on the floor, in search of an Internet connection and power. We have the Internet set up...I just haven't plugged it in yet because I have no desk and really, no place to put it. But I've been diligently taking pictures each day, and will upload them as soon as I am functional again!!!

day 105/365 WE CLOSED ESCROW!!!

WooHoo! We closed escrow today and recorded at 5:00! Talk about being on pins and needles all day long. Everyone worked really hard to pull it off! And boy am I thankful. Now we have the weekend to move! We started tonight -- and we've been moving for the last 5 hours! I was at the new house putting things away (especially in the kitchen) and DH was bringing things over with a little help. When I got home 5 hours later, it didn't even look like we had made a dent in the amount of stuff we need to move! UGH! Thank goodness we have Saturday and Sunday!

AND, we met some of our new neighbors tonight!!  They were so nice!!

This is my "no time" post. After work today, it's been non-stop - we had the final walk through for the house we are selling; we had the final walk through for the house we are buying; we signed our life away on our loan documents; and some guy came by and bought one of the items I had on craigslist!!! Busy! And no time for a "proper" dinner...as evidenced by this picture of Cassidy eating Mickey-Ds.  So what is my DH doing right NOW? Lying on the couch, with wine in one hand, popcorn in the other, watching Deadliest Catch, like WE'RE NOT MOVING IN A FEW DAYS! GEEZ!  Dude, get off the couch and help pack!

Why am I at the park when I should be home packing...this is the question that continues to plague me...except the "at the ___" section changes each time. Today, after school, Cassidy wanted to conquer the monkey bars. So it was to the park we went. And since I didn't have a camera with me (well, my DSLR camera), I took some pictures courtesy of my favorite app, instagram!

We've had reluctance during this whole process to put a sign on our house, notifying the world that we are on the market. But I finally gave in to our realtor. I figure she deserves it for putting up with all my questions at all hours of the day and night and for putting up with the crazy realtor on the other side of our deal. So, the sign is up...we're supposed to close escrow on Friday...Keep your fingers crossed!!!!!

We went to an "arty party" today (seriously, our 5th birthday party in 3 weeks). It was for Cassidy's BFF, Samantha. The kids each got a plastic smock, a paper board, loads of paint, and lots of brushes and went at it! So much fun and a bouncy house to boot! Happy day 100 everyone! And thanks for the encouragement and kind words along the way!

What do you think this is? Cassidy took ceramics as an afterschool activity last year. When we were packing up our house this week, we came across this...dog, I think. My husband wanted to throw it away. Really? We can't throw it away! I brought it into work and now it sits on my desk as a paper weight!
