Tonight, Cassidy decided that "Frosty the Snowman Elf" was not that great of a name (even though that was his name all of last season!) So she decided (1) that her elf is a girl (she's wearing a skirt after all) and (2) her name is now "Sarah". Random.

Our elf (aptly named "Frosty the Snowman Elf") made his appearance today. Someone was less than amused…Needless to say, FTSE didn't spend the night with Yuki…she would have destroyed him by morning and that wouldn't have been productive for anyone!

Cassidy and I went to the movies today...we saw Puss and Boots. I thought it was pretty funny. Cassidy didn't like it as much..."I thought it was going to be another cat in the movie..." Huh? Anyway, we took this picture before the movies with Alvin and his friend...Apparently, they're going to Hawaii or something because they're all decked out in Aloha!

Cassidy's Thanksgiving play was today at school. She was a pilgrim woman who said "Mercy Me!" So cute. I was so lucky to be able to help out and attend the play...I even made the pilgrim women hats!

Cassidy was the first in her class to bring home "Spotty," the traveling wonder dog! Spotty, a pound puppy (remember those?) is supposed to go home with each kid every night and experience new adventures which the kids are supposed to journal. For Spotty's trip to our house, we introduced him to "Spot," my pound puppy. Spot and Spotty became fast friends!

We went to Disneyland today with six girls all under 6! YIKES! It wasn't bad...only mildly stressful. Cassidy saw the barber shop quartet and wanted to sing with them...but settled for having her picture taken with the group!

day 308/365 hair
So proud of my girl today! We were driving around, running errands, and we saw a homeless man on the corner. She asked why he was there, what his sign said, and what did he want. That launched us into a discussion about giving to people in need. And she said, "like how I want to cut my hair and give it to the children who don't have hair because they're sick?" And I said, "yah, kind of like that..." And then she said, rather confidently, "I want to cut my hair today!" So after running some more errands at Target (and to give her time to be sure that was what she wanted to do), we went to get her hair cut -- 10 inches -- 10 inches of hair for Locks of Love! I'm so proud of my girl. She put her mind to it and never looked back. And she got a cute hair cut!!!

day 304/365 ER
So at 11 p.m., Cassidy woke up with right-sided abdominal pain and dizziness. I, of course, immediately thought she had appendicitis and rushed her to the ER. While there, we learned Cassidy's temperature was 104 degrees!!! YIKES! So she was given meds and fluids and had a CT scan of her abdomen. It was normal. So they did a chest x-ray because she was coughing...it was normal. Fever went down and she was discharged at 3 a.m....She's now fully recovered! But I wonder why she had that high fever???
